Intentional Living
Chris and I discuss how to keep a synergy between all the different areas of your life, the importance of morning routines, and how simplicity leads to greater creative output.
Highlights, Takeaways, and Quick Wins
- Focus and intentional living are for everyone. And this stuff is all encompassing for our whole life. You can’t pit work against family against personal health because they are all important.
- Simplifying in areas of our own life can lead to increased creative output. Because we have to say no to many things in order to say yes to the few things that matter. We have to have margin in our schedule and margin for our creative thoughts.
- If you don’t take the time to look back, then nothing is going to change going forward.
- It’s important to have check-ins once or twice a year to review the areas of life that are important to us and what we’re doing to make meaningful progress.
- Meaningful productivity is living with intention.
- It’s critical to have a vision, values, and mission statement for life. They can serve as a plumb-line for how you’re spending your time and what goals you’re pursuing.
