Upstairs Atlanta is the city’s newest event space located in the heart of West Midtown Atlanta. Originally Eastman Kodak Co.’s film processing plant, this refurbished space has kept the rustic charm that once belonged to Kodak. On one of the highest points of the city, the front windows face a sweeping skyline view of Midtown and Downtown Atlanta.

 

Please Note: To get the most out of this two- day workshop, wifi will not be available at the venue.

Travel: When to Fly In and Out

If you’re coming from out of town, you will want to arrive in Atlanta the evening of Monday, October 15th. We will be starting first thing on Tuesday morning, and you won’t want to miss a thing.

The last session will conclude by 12:00pm on Wednesday the 16th, with the airport approximately 30 – 40 minutes away depending on traffic.

Airport: ATL

If you plan to fly, you’ll want to come in to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

Getting Around

For getting around after the event, all nearby hotels and places to eat or shop are within just a few minute’s drive! 

For transportation to and from the airport, you can grab an Uber or Lyft. Car Rentals are also available from the airport. It’s roughly a 35 minute drive from the airport to the venue or recommended hotel.

While there are many hotels in the area, just under 2 miles away (a 7 minute drive) from our event venue is  Courtyard Atlanta Midtown .

What to Bring

We will provide printed materials for all course content. If you’d like to take additional notes in a notebook, tablet, or laptop, you are welcome to. As noted previously, wifi will not be available at our venue.

What to Wear

Dress code at the event is casual. We want you to be comfortable for the day.

October’s in Atlanta are typically very pleasant. Highs in the 70’s/80s during the day and low 50’s/60’s in the evening. We will be sure to include the week’s forecast in our email updates the week before the event!
